A search of the CWGC web-site produced the following result for “Cemetery or memorial: Ramleh War Cemetery, War: First World War, Date of death (starting): 1/10/1920, Date of death (ending): 31/10/1920”

ABDALLAH MAJID ALY Labourer 162286 12/10/1920 Egyptian Labour Corps United Kingdom

AMER SKEMATIN Labourer 07/10/1920 Egyptian Labour Corps United Kingdom

MOHAMED IBRAHIM Labourer 115500 02/10/1920 Egyptian Labour Corps United Kingdom

DRURY, J Driver 1033313 22/10/1920 Royal Field Artillery United Kingdom V. 23.

LOCKLEY, J Driver 1034283 07/10/1920 Royal Field Artillery United Kingdom V. 21.

This chap lies between next to Lockley and must be in grave V. 22

1866 MOCH. D.

NARASIMALOO

attatched 89th Battery RFA, 16th Brigade

died 13/10/20

Shouldn't he also be commemorated on the CWGC's roll?

His service number is 4 digits. All the others seem to have been renumbered early 1920.

Thanks John,

I am not into researching individuals, so my comments here amount to guess work

but I imagine that this chap was attached during the battery's service in India (they were not part of the EEF's wartime OoB)

and because of his 'attachment' his paperwork may have got behind

As far as service number is concerned you are probably right. Did renumbering include Indian Army?

Although CWGC seem to list members of the Indian Army they don't seem to give grave references in most cases.

If he had appeared on the CWGC roll as Narasimaloo then he should have been between

NARAIN SINGH

Rank: Labourer Service No: 7706 Date of Death: 02/01/1921 Regiment/Service: Sappers and Miners, Indian States Forces Grave Reference:
Cemetery:
RAMLEH WAR CEMETERY Additional Information: Son of Kaka Singh, of Kokri, Moga, Ferozepore, Punjab.

And

NARAYAN RAWOOL

Rank: Lance Naik Service No: 1012 Date of Death: 02/02/1919 Regiment/Service: 110th Mahratta Light Infantry Grave Reference:
Cemetery:

RAMLEH WAR CEMETERY Additional Information: Son of Rama Rawul, of Yenduli, see GRAVE REGISTRATION DOCUMENTS – REGISTERS Index No. P 9, Ramleh War Cem., Part II, page 102 here http://www.cwgc.org/find-war-dead/casualty/653896/NARAYAN%20RAWOOL

RamlehIndianrecords_zpsbbe07168.jpg

However as Narasimaloo does not appear thus, then the question arises

Was he perhaps recorded as MOCH. D. NARASIMALOO?

That name is also not found, indeed there appears to be a gap in the records here as the name which appears immediately before NARAIN SINGH is

MANI RAM

Rank: Follower Service No: 101 Date of Death: 18/07/1918 Regiment/Service: 34th Sikh Pioneers Grave Reference:
Cemetery:
RAMLEH WAR CEMETERY

And his details are given on GRAVE REGISTRATION DOCUMENTS – REGISTERS

Index No. P 9, Ramleh War Cem., Part II, page 100 to be seen here

http://www.cwgc.org/find-war-dead/casualty/653850/MANI%20RAM

BUT Mani Ram is not the last name on page 100

1] Where are MANGU, MANSINGH NATH, MARU, MASTAN SINGH, MATTRA, MEHARBAN SINGH, MEHDI KHAN, MEHMA SINGH, MHADARAO DALVI and MHAN GUL who all also appear on page 100?

2] Where is page 101 and whose names are are also missing?

3] where are the two names on page 102 which appear before NARAIN SINGH:-

NANIVA and NANOO
