Maureen

Thank you posting this.

As a result, I have been able to find the IDSM recommendation for 86 Naik Kummel Singh, 1st Kashmir Imperial Service Mounted Battery, whose IDSM I have in my collection.

Many Thanks Sepoy

For the Period 16th August to 30th November, 1917

For good service and devotion to duty. He has on nearly all occasions accompanied the F.O.O (Forward Observation Officer) as a Telephonist. He has invariably displayed coolness and pluck under fire and has done his utmost to ensure telephonic communication without undue delay.

At Nurunyu on 18th August, he displayed marked coolness under enemy shell fire when the F.O.O. post was located by the enemy and accurately shelled.
