As a result, I have been able to find the IDSM recommendation for 86 Naik Kummel Singh, 1st Kashmir Imperial Service Mounted Battery, whose IDSM I have in my collection.

For the Period 16^th August to 30^th November, 1917

For good service and devotion to duty. He has on nearly all occasions accompanied the F.O.O (Forward Observation Officer) as a Telephonist. He has invariably displayed coolness and pluck under fire and has done his utmost to ensure telephonic communication without undue delay.

At Nurunyu on 18^th August, he displayed marked coolness under enemy shell fire when the F.O.O. post was located by the enemy and accurately shelled.
