clive_hughes Posted 13 November , 2014 Share Posted 13 November , 2014 One day on, remembering Surgeon Godfrey Alan Walker, 63rd RN Div, 1st Field Ambulance, killed 14th November 1916 age 28 and buried at Hamel Military Cemetery. His headstone also commemorates his brother 2nd Lieut. Henry Gerald Walker 2nd KOYLI killed on 1st July 1916 age 25 at the very beginning of the Somme battle (named on Thiepval Memorial). Both brothers from Mirfield, Yorks., are also named on the Rhosneigr War Memorial, Anglesey. Clive
