At http://search.ancestry.co.uk/cgi-bin/sse.dll?gl=36&gsfn=Cyril&gsln=Quaintow&gss=angs-g&rank=1&so=2 he is shown as having died in 1921. Since qualification for a CWGC headstone required death before 31 August 1921, perhaps he died (of war-related causes) after this date some is not listed by the CWGC but is on the Hednesford War Memorial.

Morning Graeme

Many thanks for that, it confirms this Findagrave entry I had previously found

http://search.ancestry.co.uk/cgi-bin/sse.dll?db=FindAGraveUS&h=38665309&indiv=try&o_vc=Record:OtherRecord&rhSource=1904

It would appear that he is a candidate for the CWGC but, passing away in the U.S.A. complicates matters, I fear (death certs etc)

many thanks for posting, I had not found the probate previously.

Regards,

Graeme
