Remembered Today:

Help in identifying a soldier's uniform

I think the two pictures attached are the same gentleman. I would be grateful if anyone could identify his uniform.

If the uniform is the Royal Garrison Artillery then his name is Douglas Towry Farrier born 6.11.1888 killed in action 1.10.1917

Than you,

Cosmo

I am afraid that he is not in the Artillery as they wore fused grenade collar badges. If the uniform is blue with white facings, it could be the Army Service Corps.

Thank you for your expertise. The images were sent to me by my cousin, I will pass on your valued opinion. I guess the young chap was from her mother's side of the family.

Regards,

Cosmo
