Skipman Posted 10 November , 2014 Share Posted 10 November , 2014 Anyone used this site. Search-Books.org If you input 1914 1918 it comes up with a list. These links lead to a request for name and email address. Just not certain it's safe. Any thoughts? Mike
seaforths Posted 10 November , 2014 Share Posted 10 November , 2014 That came up the other evening when I was looking for a particular book. When it asked for my email address, I pulled out. I have never come across a search engine that asks for an email address. It is very strange because even if you click on 'reviews' it asks for your email address. I might set up a bogus email address from work on Friday and see what occurs. The only thing I can think of is that they are flogging off email addresses to advertisers. I have never used the site in question but I think you are both right to exercise caution here. I run a mile from any site which asks for personal details such as name or email address for no apparent reason.
