Simon_Fielding Posted 7 November , 2014 Share Posted 7 November , 2014 Looking at the soldier below made me realise how ignorant I am of Hampshires and Labour Corps.... Private John BAYNHAM 1st Battalion Labour Company Hampshire Regiment, 34807 transferred to (106249) 178th Company Hampshire Regiment Labour Corps died on Saturday 1st December 1917 I can find a short thread from '03 on the 178th which makes reference to an article in 'GW I Was There' by an officer called Pocock? Does this ring any bells? I'm out of my Worcs / Glos comfort zone! Simon

rolt968 Posted 6 December , 2014 Share Posted 6 December , 2014 The recognised source on the Labour Corps is "No Labour, No Battle" by Starling and Lee. R.
