Wazzok1 Posted 6 November , 2014 Share Posted 6 November , 2014 Frank Carroll (F or Francis, sometimes Carroll is spelled with one L.) Royal Horse Artillery Shoeing Smith Born abt 1885 Birmingham, Warwickshire Transferred at some point to 307th Brigade Royal Field Artillery, where he died on 20 October 1918. I would like to know what unit he was in during his time in the RHA.
battiscombe Posted 6 November , 2014 Share Posted 6 November , 2014 this number 835979 looks to be linked with a 2nd line 3rd South Midlands Brigade.. which became 307th Bde ... a territorial unit, and Field Artillery - men were enlisted in RFA & RHA but very few served in RHA units [as there were very few]
