I reckon those with an interest in these things will have already read the statements from LBSG Russ and will have no doubt have come to their own conclusions I most certainly have..

The project team all worked for nothing, and raised funds through active fundraising and seeking sponsors. They worked unpaid etc. When I helped a couple of years ago they had a marquee donated by a unit of the British Army, and quite a lot of the equipment was contributed by sponsors. If you study the La Boisselle Project website, and look back through it I'm sure you will see sufficient evidence of that.

Nice to see from Toms pics that the grass has already reclaimed and covered this historic site and long shall it remain so.

Why the use of just surnames? Whether you intended it or not it comes across as impolite

The legal status of Les Amis is unclear, as are the rights of its adherents (members). How is it to be financed and what are the procedures for accounting for its funds?

How much of the site is open? Can you go underground?

Extremely doubtful as they have all been filled-in. If the image on the friends website is recent then it shows the site as it is now. Still worth a visit however as it was not accessible in its original state. A bit like having the opportunity to walk on the Tambour near Fricourt which is I understand off-limits to the casual visitor.

Thanks Norman, will have a look in March. Will be very interesting to listen to Jeremy Banning in April as well.
