Paulson Posted 6 November , 2014 Author Share Posted 6 November , 2014 I didn't realise that there was so much help and information available. The bit that is missing from the bottom of this attachment reads "Discharged on term nation of engagement Para 497(viii)KR Sergeant 14/8/35. He then enlisted in the territorial army and was finally discharged in 1938. I have found a couple of references to action he was involved in in the War Diary for 1816 if these would be of any interest. I know that he was in the RAF in the second world war and I believe that he was a squadron leader but I haven't got any records yet. I don't have any of his medals. Paulson Posted 12 November , 2014 Author Share Posted 12 November , 2014 I am currently trying to understand the circumstances of my father being invalided home in November 1916. In the documents already posted the casualty form B103 says he was admitted to hospital in Rouen with what has been interpreted as trench fever. There is then an entry on the Military History Sheet dated 21/11/16 stating Wnd Serious H.B.3130. I then have a later entry on a B103 dated 21/07/20 stating Examined by Medical Board at Bedford under A.C.(T)? 250/20 disability awarded 20%. Is there any way of establishing whether these entries relate to the same medical condition?.
