Marigold1 Posted 29 October , 2014 Share Posted 29 October , 2014 Does anyone know of a source which lists the army service numbers of the Labour Corps? I am trying to edtablish when Harry Limbert joined the Labour Corps in WW1. His number was 12276. Grateful for any ideas. Marigold
Coldstreamer Posted 29 October , 2014 Share Posted 29 October , 2014 have you looked to see if his service papers exist ?
John_Hartley Posted 29 October , 2014 Share Posted 29 October , 2014 That number would have him joining in April/May 1917 and being attached to the Corps' 21 Company, which was formed from the 13th Leicesters. Marigold1 Posted 29 October , 2014 Author Share Posted 29 October , 2014 Very many thanks, John. I will also pursue the source you mention. Also thank you, Coldstreamer, for your suggestion, but no service paper survives, alas, only an attestation paper pre-the 2nd Boer War.
