Guest macchim5 Posted 27 October , 2014 Share Posted 27 October , 2014 Hello guys, thank you for wellcome! I really need your help. I’m an italian aviation historian and an aircraft modeller, interested in WWI. I live in Venice and I’m looking for any information about a tiny island of the lagoon: Poveglia that was a temporary base for the floatplanes of a Royal Naval Air Service flight during a bombardament mission, in 1918 October. In the official Italian Navy log I found the planes were Bristol, but I don’t know any thing else. I’m asking you if you can help me giving some advice for my research: I would like to have a confirmation about the planes and to discover wich flight it was. Thank you very much. horatio2 Posted 27 October , 2014 Share Posted 27 October , 2014 In October 1918 the RNAS no longer existed. It would have been an RAF operation.
