rflory Posted 25 October , 2016 Share Posted 25 October , 2016 Tim: Good to see an old friend. De Silva used to be in my cabinets. Unfortunately he is not on the nominal roll of the men of the Volunteer Artillery Battery who served at Kut.
Timbob1001 Posted 25 October , 2016 Share Posted 25 October , 2016 (edited) Thanks Dick! I am always amazed how medals do the rounds between a relatively small set of collectors. An eBay purchase from a US collection in Sacramento being dispersed, Best Wishes Tim PS Just found him mentioned on an earlier post - when you had the group was it just the pair and a VLSGC medal? rflory Posted 25 October , 2016 Share Posted 25 October , 2016 Tim: It was a group of seven when I had it: BWM and VM, 1939-45 Star, Burma Star, Defense Medal, War Medal 1939-45 and Volunteer LSGC Medal. The medals haven't moved very far as I originally purchased them at an OMSA Convention in San Jose, CA.
