Hello Beth,

I have another suggestion to help with the smooth running of your project.

Soon it will be a very long job to read through the whole thread to find out which photographs are no longer required so if you could go back to #1 and put a line through the cemeteries which are complete this would be very helpful to everyone.

Hi Sandy,

I may be able to manage Lodge Hill, Alvechurch and Brandwood End if you do not already have them. If you dont, let me know the names and I may be able to try this week-end. And if you know the sections of the headstones, that would be a bonus.

Cheers, cresser.

Someone may have already mentioned this but I recall counting about 116 soldier graves in the Parish yard at Harefield, Middx. all with Australian style gravestones. Harefield was the site of an Australian military hospital.

Information and photos are online. Good hunting Ralph

Many of the gravestone photos can be found here: twgpp.org

I photographed the Darwen graves a few years ago and the lone Australian grave always stuck in my mind... So so far from home and family....

Hope this helps. X

(Love the pic on your web sites home page)

Tincie, Beth has thousands of photos that she wants. Its not really a viable option expecting her to buy all the photos from TWGPP is it? TWGPP is good for an odd photo or two, or difficult to find photos, but for researchers who require hundreds, it is not really an option unless they have money to throw away.

Thanks for replying to my request, & your kind words about the heading picture, which was supplied from a generous UK photographer

As I am searching for over 2,000 Aussie servicemen my budget just doesn't allow for me to go to twgpp.org, at $11-81 per photo.

The generosity of the people in the UK has been fantastic & so very much appreciated

Cheers
