Good Evening Pals,

I cannot find Walter on CWGC and wondered if you already had him on your list. I can send for DC if required.

Grave in Weaste Cemetery, Salford.

Hi Garry,

I recently found another casualty like this who had major wounds, but then found he had died from an entirely separate condition. I suspect a (particular) member of the Manchesters Forum will be able to find Walter's cause of death. Have you noted the W Hearon as an employee of East Lancs. Mills Co Ltd, 82 Princes St in the Book of Hounour?

Hi Tim,

The DC may well show that he died from a separate condition, but worth checking if he has not been picked up by the IFTCP.

Thank you for the information with regard to the Book of Honour.

I don't believe that IFCP has come across Walter. As you know, the DC is the key factor for any death in the UK and you'd need to get that. We'll be happy to assist with the submission if you wish and, if we do make a submission for you, we'll be happy to refund you the cost of getting the DC. Here's our contact link - http://www.infromthecold.org/report_missing_casualty.asp#

The mention of wounds on the gravestone means this one has to be worth a punt.
