Mernish (Serbia) 1915 Where is this location?

Can anyone help identify the modern day location of Mernish(?) referred to in the letter sent to the War Office by my Grandmothers brother Lt Charles Morris in his request for a War Pension?

He was attached to the Royal Irish Fusiliers at the time.

His letter home after the action may help identify the Battle where he was injured.

I think he means Memešli/Memeshli, on the Kosturino defence line.

5/Royal Irish Fus. and 5/Innis.Fus. were there on the day; 6/RIF were just south of the village.
