Guest Rex9691 Posted 11 August , 2014 Share Posted 11 August , 2014 Yesterday evening, 10th August 2014 - BBC2, I watched the film, "The Trench" (1999), where private soldiers' uniforms were variously displayed with brass buttons, pips and crowns which I associate with officer ranks in the modern army. Am I right in believing these insignia were as incorrect as the language was anachronistic to the 1910's?
johnboy Posted 11 August , 2014 Share Posted 11 August , 2014 I saw fusilier collar badges, leather jerkins, which seemed to come on and off, diamond shaped patches on shoulders and rear of tunic.Plus Danny Dyer acting as he usually does, squinting to give the impression he is thinking .
