Help with Royal Engineers

Hi All

Can anyone help identify an R.E. sub unit shown on SWB Roll as "Sec. B. A.R.". There is a definite gap between the B. & A.R.

On the L.G. for a French Medaille d'Honneur avec Glaives"en Bronze" the recipients unit is listed as 38th Field Company R.E.

Any help much appreciated

Peter

Peter

It means Section B, Army Reserve. He would have been a regular soldier with a reserve commitment. 38 Company was a regular unit which was at Cork when it was mobilised.
