David_Underdown Posted 16 August , 2014 Share Posted 16 August , 2014 Bear in mind it's not a finished product as it stands, it will continue to be added to throughout the centenary period
towisuk Posted 18 August , 2014 Share Posted 18 August , 2014 Compare that to the NLS contribution to the centenary.......not even on the same planet .....never mind class.... regards Tom
David_Underdown Posted 18 August , 2014 Share Posted 18 August , 2014 It's not supposed to be doing the same thing as the NLS maps. It's an alternative rotue to finding records that may be of interest which are directly related to the places on the map, and to show the breadth of British involvment in the war. It is only a small part of TNA's centenary activities, which also include a wide range of digitisation projects (not least the war diaries, a second batch of scanning is just getting under way covering GHQ, Armies and Lines of Communication for France and Flanders).
