stevem49 Posted 26 July , 2014 Share Posted 26 July , 2014 On our recent trip to Wales, I decided to photograph the Llanberis memorial and noticed - Jennie William VAD - I wondered if anyone knew anything about her? I am presuming illness as she died at Le Havre aged 45. Just out of interest really as I think it is the first women's name I have seen on a memorial. Jennie joined the Voluntary Aid Detachment and died at 2 General Hospital, Le Havre on the 31st January 1919 of pneumonia. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
