Remembered Today:

Jennie Williams VAD

On our recent trip to Wales, I decided to photograph the Llanberis memorial and noticed -

Jennie William VAD - I wondered if anyone knew anything about her? I am presuming illness as she died at Le Havre aged 45.

Just out of interest really as I think it is the first women's name I have seen on a memorial.

Thanks

Steve

Thanks. I thought it might have been the Flu or similar going by the date.

Steve

Influenza victims died from complications arising from it. Pneumonia was one of the most common causes.
