Thank you.

Interestingly I have just written an account of the East Persia Cordon and the Sarhad operations.

There are two other books available that describe Sarhad operations, both written by officers of the 28th Light Cavalry:

Faraway Campaign: Experiences of an Indian Army Cavalry Officer in Persia & Russia During the Great War [Paperback]

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Faraway-Campaign-Experiences-Cavalry-Officer/dp/1846774217/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1406197019&sr=1-1&keywords=a+faraway+campaign

and

Riding to War

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Riding-War-Gerald-Uloth/dp/0952290006/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1406197143&sr=1-1&keywords=riding+to+war

Both these officers were wounded when the Sarhad prisoners escaped from custody.

Gerald Uloth was later a co-compiler of the regimental history that covers the Geat War period.
