British boot laces

Unable to find an answer on the forum, excellent photographs suggest to me that boot laces were leather, is that correct, and if so how long were they ?

thanks

khaki,

Yes Leather and they came in 2 lengths. 30" for ankle boots and 50" for Field Service boots.

I have seen quite a few pairs of laces with wire wrap at each tip.

Many thanks Joe, sometimes the little things really are hard to answer, especially from over here. The wire bound ends are an interesting observation. excellent !
