Aspern Posted 25 June , 2014 Share Posted 25 June , 2014 Well not really. But there is a WW1 event taking place at Rufford Abbey in Nottinghamshire this weekend - 28th-29th June. Besides re-enactors representing all the main armies there will also be numerous other shows and displays - including one demonstrating the after effects of a ficticious Zeppelin raid on Rufford Abbey!! (2.00pm). I will also be giving a couple of talks each day. 1.00pm - "No Longer An Island" - 1914: Britain and the Zeppelin Menace 3.15pm - "Murdered By Persons Unknown" - The 1916 Nottinghamshire Zeppelin Raids If you happen to be in Nottinghamshire at the weekend (Saturday is the centenary of the assasination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand) and at a loose end, come and say hello!
