Guest Neftanik Posted 12 June , 2014 Share Posted 12 June , 2014 I have a copy of the Regimental Diary which covers their departure from the UK up to December 1915. It includes the march from Bologne, trench warfare training and front line in Bois Grenier. Let me know and I can e-mail a copy.
GraemeClarke Posted 12 June , 2014 Share Posted 12 June , 2014 Morning Can I ask, is it from the N.A. or a transcription ? If it is a PDFfrom the N.A. it is probably too big to e-mail Regards Graeme
Guest hhjkm Posted 5 August , 2014 Share Posted 5 August , 2014 My grandfather, (2nd Lt Leslie Gordon Lee) was in the 9th battalion Yorkshire regiment. We know very little about what he did or where, except he arrived in France with the battalion on 26.8.14. We know he won the military cross, published in London gazette 1.1.17, but we don't know what for. It is very difficult to find any information. My father would dearly love to know more. I would be very interested to read the diary if you would be willing to email a copy?
