Barrack room set up, furniture and equipment?

Hello all,

I've just joined your Forum and am amazed at the depth and breadth of knowledge here!

I have been asked to help out on a museum exhibition for the Great War centenary, I have a general knowledge of the period but no in depth knowledge of the area in question which is a UK barracks room of the RGA.

So I wondered if people could point me in the direction of good publications or web resources for information on areas such as equipment issued and how such items were laid out for inspection on the shelves and beds? And also what you folks think are the best general titles for uniforms and equipment?

You should contact the Aldershot Military Museum (http://www3.hants.gov.uk/aldershot-museum.htm) who have a Barrack Room display in one of the original Infantry Barrack blocks.
