I can't find out his battery number can anyone help? He was fighting 5 kilometres north of Vimy ridge when wounded would love help with this. He was a number two gunner on 6inch howitzer when wounded!

Howitzer6 Posted 10 June , 2014 Author Posted 10 June , 2014 Service number111629 admitted to hospital on the 21 April 1917 I think he was fighting in the battle of arras when a German battery they had been 'duelling with' land a shell close to them causing him massive injury to his right arm( he had months of recovery) Fred deployed at end of 1916 in fact Christmas Eve and was at Sailly in Northern France when injured. He was the number two gunner on a 6 inch mark 4 howitzer. Thanks for your help
