Does anyone have any information regarding:

Able Seaman Walter STAMP (Service number) 2846/C of the Royal Navy: born 1881 in Totnes, died (registered Totnes) 22/12/1916 - Age: 35 please?

In particular, does anyone know the circumstances of his death and whether they were related to military activity, natural causes or other?

Service record available from National Archives BT377/7/35090 for a small fee. Born Brixham, Devon 8th January 1881. CWGC imformation Son of Edwin and Jemima Stamp. Husband of Ellen Stamp, 30 Pyrenees Terrace, Brixham. Buried St Mary's Churchyard, Brixham.

He died of disease. Not Able Seaman, Royal Navy, but Seaman, Royal Naval Reserve (on his third period of enrolment).
