Many paths are well worn for the very good reason that they are ideal for getting from A to B.

In this book, John Pullen takes the path of publishing his research into the men commemorated on the war memorial in Congleton, Cheshire. For those of us who have attempted the same, either by way of book or website, the format will be familiar and successful. A page or two about each man detailing his life and death. There's photos of men, houses where they lived, graves, etc. It's really been done rather well and, if the Congleton area is your home patch, you're going to want this on your bookshelf.

The official launch of the book will be on 1 August, between 4pm and 8pm, at St Mary's Parish Rooms, West Road, Congleton.
