Did any whole divisions get transfered to the dessert from home station in late 1916 or early 1917 or would it have been more likely to have been battalions going to existing divisions already out there.Also after the rising had settled down did the british transfer troops back to other theatres from ireland. What i am trying to get at is with both Haig and Robertson scrammbling for troops to the western front what was the flow of troops to the 'side shows'.
