Welsh regiment numbering - Thomas Bevan Phillips, 75203

Can anyone kindly confirm that this number is likely to be/certainly a 14th Welsh number?

Assuming it is can anyone tell me when the man is likely to have enlisted? He got the Victory and British medals so not an early chap.

If it isn't 14th Welsh any idea which Welsh battalion it might be?

Apologies for my ignorance: I just didn't study the numbering sequences... :(

Must try harder....

The papers of 75253 Thomas Colston exist, giving him a date of 2nd May 1918 for joining 3rd Welsh for duty.

Cheers chaps.

Asking the question for a chap who is researching the plaque in his local church. He's got the name and is trying to match it to a MIC and the one I quoted is the closest he can get.

Not conclusive, then without a trip to Kew...

Thanks again for the help.
