Jerrymurland Posted 11 May , 2014 Share Posted 11 May , 2014 The second battalion took part on the Bois Grenier attack on 25 September 1915. Does anyone have the regimental history/War Diary? I'm looking for an account of their part in the fight and the casualty figures. All assistance breathlessly received with enormous thanks etc. Jerry

Very detailed by the standards of the day. Killed: 60 Wounded: 229 Missing: 36 Lists all the Officers who fought i this action and their fate. Diary is available online from National Archive at £3.30. Ref is WO 95/1730/1 Well worth buying for this account alone. 2 files 116MB of info cover 1914-1916. The account in the published history is quite detailed too. My copy is not to hand (it is being scanned and OCR'd). MG
