Hi all,

I wonder if anyone can shed any light on the POW camp at Gembloux, Belgium during WW1 please?

I have googled and found nothing for WW1.

I am researching a soldier named William McCartney who died on 18th November 1918. I have his will which states that he died whilst in German hands at the Gembloux Prisoner Of War Camp, Belgium.

I would like to find out more about the camp and ideally like to find some more records on William at the POW camp, but having looked online I think that POW records seem few!

Thank you for reading,

Louise
