Question on MIC Notation

Hello,

There is no doubt in my mind this has been covered before but I've been unable to find it. COuld someone please tell me the significance of an "X" with dots between the arms on a MIC. The X is on the lind between the Line for "Victory" and "British".

Thank you, as always, for your assistance.

Take care,

Neil

This is used to signify to the Medal Naming Authority as to the Naming etc detail that is to appear on the Medal,if for instance, there is a Change in Rank or Regiment ,etc;on the Card

Thanks for the clarification. Now I see there is also one by Spr (sapper) at the top of the card.

Mystery solved.

Thank you & take care,

Neil
