Dawley Jockey Posted 29 April , 2014 Share Posted 29 April , 2014 Zuydcoote is a village in the Department of Nord about 10km north-east of Dunkirk, basically follow the coastal by-pass from Calais through Dunkirk and Zuydcoote is on the left before you reach Andikirke and Belgium. One of the men I researched is buried there A. Hough (Hoof or Hodge depending on what records you read) 227795 Royal Engineers Hope that helps Dave

sotonmate Posted 29 April , 2014 Share Posted 29 April , 2014 Gillian I went Dover-Dunkirk on a DFDS ferry, very reasonable, and close to where you want to be.Ferry every 2 hours either way. I am not canvassing for business and there are other ferries and other routes, but I would do that again ! You are also close to the Belgian border and Adinkerke, where all the best tobacco deals are done !
