german pow gaurds

I have just recieved a photo of these german gaurds who where gaurding my grandad who was taken prisoner on the 21/5/1918.written on the back was a small acount of his captivity.places where he was moved to that I can just read are

5 Monday july 8 pictures taken with meat(after a meatless week) ,apparantly they had their pictures taken with a side of beef and then they took it away.

Propaganda I suppose(this was told to me by my auntie who is now 96 she is trying to remember more bless her but her memory is going abit like mine).

6 Bank holiday moved to Pomily tues 6th

the writting is very faint so I appolagise for not getting more info but I would be delighted if this can help any body and if anybody can help me.I have a picture of him in a camp but the quality is poor but I will post it any way
