ian b Posted 27 April , 2003 Share Posted 27 April , 2003 I have a leathercloth "Field service pocket book" which belonged to a relative who served on the Western Front (probably Belgium). On it is the following faded inscription - "Presented to Pte Charles Hollingsworth by Cpl A Turner, 2/5th Sherwoods, for his fine work during the Battle of ****** Hill on April 17th, 1918". Can anyone identify this battle?

ian b Posted 27 April , 2003 Author Share Posted 27 April , 2003 Many thanks Chris. I thought the word began with "K", but did not want to pre judge it.
