Before they left Windsor this morning, the President of Ireland and his wife Sabina, in the company of Prince Andrew viewed the Colours of the disbanded Irish Regiments, which have been at the castle since 1922.

The Regiments involved were the Connaught Rangers, the Royal Munster Fusiliers, the Royal Dublin Fusiliers, the Leinster Regiment and the Royal Irish Regiment.

I must say Mrs President looks very elegant. It would be wonderful to be able to see those Colours but I can't help but wonder if the President was a tad disappointed at not being able to hold up his phone to surreptitiously take a few photos for posterity.
