Unknown but distinctive Royal Welsh Fusiliers officer.

I appreciate that this is a very long shot but does anyone know the name of this Royal Welsh Fusiliers officer? He has a very distinctive face and seems to have started his career as a bandsman in the Scots Guards. All these photographs came from a recent house clearance. There seems to be a Manchester connection and other items of non military paperwork from the same clearance have the following names, Cuthbert Lawrence Joseph Mather (memorial card), M.P. Rothwell (1935); Pat White and Mrs P Rothwell.

I am hoping that somebody may recognize his face from another photograph that they have seen somewhere.
