Lewis Gun Match

Hi Chums,

Ive had this fob type badge/medal for some years but have often wondered its origin . Its not the best photo but essentially it has the inscription of the title.

Anyone know to whom it may have been issued and what event, who was involved etc?? Thanks for any contributions.

Could be something to do with the Ulster Special Constabulary?

Known as the 'B' specials, they were eventually disbanded in 1969 (I think).

The B specials were well into shooting competitions with marksmanship and weapon handling being highly regarded within their ranks. I do know they had Lewis Guns. Could this be a shooting medal from one of their 'matches'?

Just thinking off top of my head.
