Raster Scanning Posted 27 April , 2003 Share Posted 27 April , 2003 Some years ago I purchased the above leather bound book. Split into two sections (casualties & all who served). It is leather bound and on the cover in gold block is the name G Nobbs, Lc Cpl, Tank Corps. Nobbs is listed inside as someone who served and survived. I presume that all who are listed (or their families) received one of these books. The information is quite sparse usually only the regiment, sometimes a battalion number. Anyone who suspects a man they are researching came from the Hatfield area are welcome to contact me for a lookup. John.

Staffsyeoman Posted 28 April , 2003 Share Posted 28 April , 2003 My goodness! John, I'm greatly obliged. Whilst realising the MGC was a big corps, never expected so many. Thanks for your trouble indeed.

Annette Burgoyne Posted 1 May , 2003 Share Posted 1 May , 2003 Thanks John for looking at admittance book of the medical units around Albert in July 1917, for K.S.L.I. These admittance books look like they contain most useful info. for a researcher, if anyone else have them, I would be interested in any Shropshires in them. Raster Scanning Posted 1 May , 2003 Author Share Posted 1 May , 2003 Annette. Mine are only selected pages copied from the originals at the PRO, when I get a moment I will post the medical units that have books available. John.
