Remembered Today:

Hatfield Herts

Raster Scanning

Recommended Posts

Some years ago I purchased the above leather bound book. Split into two sections (casualties & all who served). It is leather bound and on the cover in gold block is the name G Nobbs, Lc Cpl, Tank Corps. Nobbs is listed inside as someone who served and survived. I presume that all who are listed (or their families) received one of these books.

The information is quite sparse usually only the regiment, sometimes a battalion number. Anyone who suspects a man they are researching came from the Hatfield area are welcome to contact me for a lookup.

John.

Thanks for the look up John, I had his name in the Regimental Roll of Honour but did not know where he came from.

My goodness! John, I'm greatly obliged. Whilst realising the MGC was a big corps, never expected so many.

Thanks for your trouble indeed. :D

Not sure if you are interested but I have some admittance book pages from some of the medical units around Albert in July 1917. Pretty sure some West Yorks men are included (10th Battalion I think).

Do you want me to check?

Best wishes.

Thanks John for looking at admittance book of the medical units around Albert in July 1917, for K.S.L.I.

These admittance books look like they contain most useful info. for a researcher, if anyone else have them, I would be interested in any Shropshires in them.

Annette.

Mine are only selected pages copied from the originals at the PRO, when I get a moment I will post the medical units that have books available.

John.
