I'm trying to find out a little more about my great grandad. He was in the 8th Battalion of the King's Royal Rifle Corp (enlisted 11th Dec 1915), probably "d" company, 15 platoon. No. R/25195, serjeant Alexander Joseph DUKES. I know he was taken prisoner, as I have a letter he wrote from Gustrow camp in June 1918. It's likely that he was captured during the German March offensive, but I couldn't see any mention of him in the war diary for that period (not much written for March 1918, since most of the 8th were captured or killed I understand). If anyone has any information about this time, to shed a little light on his experiences, I'd be most grateful.

Also does anyone know if he was mentioned anywhere else in the diary? I'm still working my way through!

Many thanks in advance
