The Scorer Posted 15 February , 2020 Share Posted 15 February , 2020 I've just had this message (part of the latest "Trench Lines" e-newsletter) from the WFA: "In this edition of Trench Lines we are excited to reveal a major new project. We hope many members of The Western Front Association will wish to become involved with this initiative. This project - when completed - will massively enhance the ability to identify and find men who served using an alias. Initial work has suggested the number of men who served in the army using pseudonyms is vastly underestimated and largely unknown. It is intended to tackle this by using the expertise of WFA members." "Below are a handful images showing Pension cards of men who served in the army using a name different to their real name. Not all of these men can be found using normal 'search' techniques." It then asks for members to volunteer to help with this project by replying to the message or by clicking on a box.
