Hi,

I am visiting the battlefields of 21st March 1918 on the anniversary in a couple of weeks and am hoping someone can help me with the location of the attack made by Ernst Jungers Fusiliers on the embankment of the Ecoust -Crosilles railway.

Any help would be gratefully received

Thanks

Jim

It was a while ago but someone wrote an article on Junger on this day to try and identify the exact locations you seek. If I remember correctly he found lots of conflicting information. I'll see if I can find out the name and issue number.

Kind regards

Colin

Stand To! No 69, Jan 2004. By Hedley Malloch and Nils Fabiansson. I think the former is on the forum; I recognize the name from somewhere.

The bottom line was Junger's account could be matched to four different routes.

Kind Regards

Colin

I remember our member "eparges" is a great expert about Jüngers unit. Contact him!
