These photos are from WW1. But we don't know where he was based or his regiment. I have found written on 1 of the photos Madras, if that could help He was born in Leeds, Yorks in 1884. His parents were William & Eliza but I don't know if he was married before the war and if he did actually die in it. My grandma, his niece always said he did.
