gem22 Posted 19 February , 2014 Posted 19 February , 2014 An MIC I'm looking at has 'A Cyclist Corps' as the first regiment followed by Northumberland fusiliers on second line. Each line has a separate number. I've not come across 'A cyclist corps' before although I have come across cyclists in other contexts. What would be meant by 'A Cyclist corps'? Also to the left of that is an X with a dot in each quadrant. What does that mean? Thanks Garth
gem22 Posted 19 February , 2014 Author Posted 19 February , 2014 Chris Thanks. Presumably they were not attached to a particular regiment! Garth
Chris_Baker Posted 19 February , 2014 Posted 19 February , 2014 They were a regiment. (Technically a corps, but you get my drift).
rksimpson Posted 19 February , 2014 Posted 19 February , 2014 HI The X refers to what details are written on which medals, see - http://www.1914-1918.net/soldiers/interpretmic.html regards Robert
