In our continuing search for men of our village lost in the Great War we are now finding the Parish Magazine to be a great source of names and details and are finding a number of men not on our memorial.

One of these is Pte S/633 John Barnard Queens (Royal West Surrey). I found an MC and he is listed on the CWGC but that seems to be it. Can any of you clever folk add any more to his story?

Many Thanks
