New Zealand soldier, advice needed on records

GREEN, CHARLES NOEL, Private, 24008, 09/06/1917, Auckland Regiment, N.Z.E.F., 2nd Bn. , II. B. 14., WESTHOF FARM CEMETERY.

The soldier as listed above above by CWGC is also recorded on a family memorial in Liverpool, aged 49 years. I have not previously looked for service records for a New Zealander and would welcome advice.

I would also recommend that you have a look at New zealand newspapers - Papers Past web site (free) - found a couple of obituaries and photo.

There is a G.N.Green remembered on the New Lynn War Memorial at

he may be your man as there are no G.N. Greens in the Cenotaph listings.
