SRD Posted 11 February , 2014 Posted 11 February , 2014 I have the Naval medal record of Cecil V Pluckrose: Roll: R.N. Page: 317 Name: Pluckrose, Cecil V Rank: Ord. No: J18906 Medals: St. V. B. Issued: S Please can someone confirm that the Rank is Ordinary Seaman, what is the relevance of the S in the Issued column and can anyone tell me anything more about Cecil V Pluckrose's naval career? Thanks.
horatio2 Posted 11 February , 2014 Posted 11 February , 2014 Download his record here:- http://discovery.nationalarchives.gov.uk/SearchUI/Details?uri=D6870990 Ord = Ordinary seaman; S = medals issued to Self.
SRD Posted 14 February , 2014 Author Posted 14 February , 2014 Thanks, unfortunately financial constraints mean that downloading from the NA isn't an option but the date of the record suggests that he signed up before the War.
