kenneth505 Posted 10 February , 2014 Share Posted 10 February , 2014 Fun article from BBCScotland's World War One site secrets revealed in audit Not sure I can really agree with "Scotland was on the front line during WW1." Still a good read and the article provides a useful link to more research. Ooops, I've crossed over the three for free, but here's another link that maybe useful http://www.heraldscotland.com/news/home-news/mapping-scotlands-first-world-war.23383547

kenneth505 Posted 12 February , 2014 Share Posted 12 February , 2014 I think it would be fun to try and stitch together interesting walks to these remains. Half day, full day etc... create a pdf and post online.
Khaki Posted 13 February , 2014 Share Posted 13 February , 2014 I found this thread very interesting even if some of the place names are not familiar to me, I did not complete reading the linked report but will do so as time permits. In the civilian sector are there many city streets with houses unchanged, so that even today veterans would still recognize them as time having stood still ? no disrespect to any community intended khaki
