Discharged Para 392 iii What does that mean?

I am looking into the service of a Leslie Emanuel who, when attesting in 1916, stated that he had previously served with the 9th (Service) Bn Welsh Regiment but had been discharged under Para 392 iii King's Regulations.

What does that refer to please?

(He went on the serve with the Sussex Yeomanry, Royal West Surrey Regiment, The Machine Gun Corps and The Royal Welsh Fusiliers before being discharged in January 1919.)

Thanks!

He has two Medal Index Cards, one under Leslie, and one under John Leslie, Emanuel. He received a Commission in 1918 but didn't serve overseas as an Officer. I didn't see any mention of a Silver War Badge being issued for his discharge under KRs para. 392,which would be the normal process,at least for Other Ranks.

He joined the ADRIC i Ireland in 1920 and was badly wounded in an ambush. He was invalided out with a pension

1939 he was drowned in a river in Wales. It seems to have been an accident, but I have not read the Inquest

His life - click

He was incidentally  the grandfather of the fashion designer David Emanuel - who I think made Princess Diana's wedding dress
